Momoiro Heaven review

Shiina Momoko seems to be like your average teenage girl but with a dark secret. She secretly is an erotic novelist but not cause she wanted to but she had no other choice. Her father was an erotic novelist going under the pen-name of Aihara George, after his death he left a large amount of debt and her mother ended up in the hospital. Her father's editor came and told Momoko how he heard from her father how talented of a writer she was that he asked if she could finish his manuscript. She will get paid and would use her father's pen-name since his death wasn't made public. Momoko agreed and since then she has been writing novels to pay off her dad's debt and her mother's bills. Everything was going great with Momoko until the famous model Ranmaru starts to attend the school she goes to. Feeling tired she goes to the nurse's office but finds no one and decides to take a nap in the floor. Finally waking up she hears Ranmaru and the English teacher about to have sex. Not knowing what to do she sits there and watches until her phone goes off. Momoko tries to answer it as quick as possible but Ranmaru and the teacher hear. The teachers leaves quick while Ranmaru takes care of the peeping tom. Finding Momoko and complaints to her he tells her to take responsibility but just ends up running away and drops her student id. Not knowing what to write for her extra story she uses Ranmaru and the teacher as her storyline only changing their names thinking no high school student would read it but was wrong. The next day one of her classmates brings in the story and tells everyone the story definitely is about Ranmaru and the English teacher. Ranmaru knowing she had something to do with it. Goes to her house and learns she's an erotic novelist going to expose her to the whole school the next day but changes his mind after Momoko's little brother tells him why she is doing this line of work. He then tells her he won't expose her secret if she becomes his slave.

Momoiro Heaven is a bit different from other stories that have similar plots. Momoko didn't choose this line of work because she wanted to but because she needed to pay off bills and debts. Most mangas that relate to this type of manga the main character is a virgin while the love interest is not. It's the same with this manga but the differences with this one is even if you know she's going to fall in love with Ranmaru at one point she doesn't give it up to him even with all those times he tries to have sex with her. Most mangas the main character just wants to have sex even on the first date which gets annoying. Momoko in the other hand does not which is awesome. She doesn't think of sex all that much and focuses more on what's important to her which is her family. Ranmaru in the other hand is pretty much the same has other love interest. He's a player, popular and does anything he can to help her when she's in trouble. When Momoko and Ranmaru are together there's humor in there and at times you do what to end up slapping Ranmaru for being an idiot at times but both characters are likable. Momoiro Heaven by Yoshino Mari gets an an 8 out of 10. The story is great but it does take forever for it to update and at times even I forgot about this manga until I see it update in the site I go to. This manga isn't annoying as other mangas that have almost the same plot. Anyone could check this manga out they don't show much nudity from what I remember but I am warning you if you check it out don't be surprise that it rarely updates.

Kanojo Wa Kannou Shousetsuka Review

Shiina Keisuke is in love with the world of erotic novels. Joining the business as an editor, Shiina wants to become the editor for Kuroki Chihiro (Their Marquee author). Her being the reason why he got into the world of erotic novels but no one would want to work for Kuroki since she could be a devil to work with. Shiina would now have the bitter and sweet journey of working with his favorite author and dealing with all the crazy things he will have to do for her.

When reading this manga for the first time I thought it was going to just deal with the sex and s&m that would go on in her novels but I was complete wrong. It has bits and pieces of her story but it's more focus on the relationship between Shiina and Kuroki and how working together grows them as a person and their work. Shiina is a cool guy wanting his favorite author Kuroki to grow more and more with her stories and make her better than she already is. He's an idiot but knows what's best for his author and would go great lengths to help her in anyway. Kuroki is pretty cool herself, she doesn't take anyone's crap and would even hurt you if you go against her will. She does have a kind heart but knowing a kind heart when it comes down to work might not take you very far if you let yourself get pushed around a lot. She does things that would make her happy not just to please her fans with just pure sex and nothing else. Kanojo Wa Kannou Shousetsuka by Goto Akira gets an 7 out of 10 love the characters and the art's pretty good. I do feel some chapters do go on to long. This manga I don't mind it going long because it doesn't drag like others that you know they should have ended and are just annoying at that point. Anyone could read this manga it does have it's funny parts but it's a manga with a story and not one of those that you have read before and find no point in reading it.

It's Not Like That, Darling review

It's Not Like that, Darling by Nagae Tomomi tells a story of a college student (Maiko Ninomiya) who gets into a car crash the year before and had to get blood transfusion. Lately Maiko has been having sexual dreams with an unknown guy she has never met before. At one point in her day after having another one of her dreams she bumps into the unknown guy that's in her dreams. This guy so happen to be the famous writer Yukiya Nagase. Every time she gets near him or even is touched by him her heart starts to beat fast but she doesn't know why. She follows him around until a little boy bumps into him and he pats the boy's head while she starts to cry. He finds her and all she says is Touya. He takes her to a cafe and ask why she is looking up his personal information. Maiko tells him about seeing him in her dreams but he doesn't believe her at first until she was about to get into another crash and he saves her. Yukiya takes her to his house and shows a picture of him and a girl (Haruka). She notices that same girl help called the ambulance and donated blood. She wanted to thank her but couldn't reach her and he tells Maiko she's dead. He believes those dreams she keeps having are those of Haruka. He then tells her to come live with him and he will take responsibly of her. Maiko now has to find a way to not let Haruka feelings get the best of her.

It's Not Like That, Darling is a very cutesy manga that I had fun reading it. Maiko was an interesting character from the beginning. She won't let anyone mess with her friends and even tries to save animals at the risk of her own life. She doesn't think before she acts but she does try her best to do things she believes is right. She is the one who gives us the humor in this manga. Her trying to resist Yukiya but Haruka is to powerful for her to handle but tries to overcome it. Yukiya in the other hand is like any other male lead. Famous, has a fan base that if anyone gets too near him they'll hurt them and loves messing around with her. He's a kind guy but could be selfish at times. There really isn't anything that makes him different from other male leads in shojo mangas other than he's kind to her most of the time. Touya is a very cute little kid that brings both characters together and if he wasn't in the story it won't be as great as it is. The art style isn't to bad and the story isn't to bad either. The thing that makes this manga worth checking out is because of the characters. It's Not Like That, Darling gets an 7 out of 10. Any fan of shojo would love this manga from the beginning. It's not a very long series either only 14 chapters which I love, it doesn't drag on like other shojo mangas that should of ended chapters ago.

Nozoki Ana review

Nozoki Ana by Honna Wakou tells a story of a college student Kido tatsuhiko who has a hole in the wall of his apartment room. Him and he's friend look through the hole but can't see anything in the other side. They start drinking and pass out at some point. Kido wakes up and sees light coming through the hole. He then looks through the hole and sees his next door neighbor (Ikuno Emiru) touching herself and she notices him. Freaking out Kido tries to wake up his friend but can't. Kido goes and knocks on his neighbor's door telling her about the hole in the wall. She opens the door but tries closing it as faster as possible but he forces himself in there and lands on top of her. She takes a picture and tells him the only way she will erase the picture is if he agrees to "show each other". He doesn't want to but is blacked mailed to do so. On monday, wednesday, and friday are the days he could peep on her while tuesday, thursday, and saturday are her days. Sunday they take a break from it. Kido now has to follow these peep rules or his life would turn upside down.

This was an interesting manga to read. I have never read a manga or seen an anime that is based on peeping. There's peeping in mangas and anime but that isn't what it's based on. It's an interesting but weird topic that I haven't seen before. Kido is a really nice guy that I wouldn't mind hanging out with. He's not all about the sex. He wants to respect the women he's around with and not look like a pervert. He's character keeps growing more and more after bad things happen to him. Emiru is an interesting and strange character. You could hardly know what she is thinking of and sometimes it feels like she could see right through you. She hardly shows any emotion which makes you want to learn more about her. After a few chapters in I wanted to know if she was always like this or if something bad happen to her. I think she's one reason why I keep on reading the manga and have been enjoying it.

Nozoki ana is a well made manga with an interesting story line. The art style is good and the style fits the tone of the story. The characters fit well together even if they are completely different from each other. Nozoki ana get an 8 out of 10. I get happy when it updates but I do feel it ran a little to long but it's still worth checking out.

Minamoto-kun Monogatari review

Minamoto-kun Monogatari by Inaba Minori is about a boy named Minamoto Terumi who has girly features that make people think he's a girl. In middle school girls bullied him and made him fear women. Now starting college he wants to change that. He wants to get over his fear and bang every girl that comes his way. That same day his father brings in his new mother. The place they live in is only fit for two people and the father tells him he's going to live with his aunt from now on. His aunt Fujimara Kaoruko is an associate professor at the school he goes to. Minamoto knew she hated men and when they get home she talks to him on how he fears women. She takes off her shirt and he tells her "don't you hate men?" and her response was "I use to". Fujimara Kaoruko then asks him if he wants to be part of her research. In her research she will teach him the ways of love and all the girls that come through their door (expect her) he would make his. She wants a deeper understanding of the novel Genji Monogatari and Minamoto is somewhat like the main character. He agrees and now his journey starts of overcoming his fear and making all those women his.

When I first read the summary to this I didn't get it all that much so I decided to check it out. I wasn't all that impress with the manga but it did make me want to read it more. I wanted to know how the whole research was going to play out throughout the manga. It is a little weird having your aunt use you as research and that research being to screw women. Minamoto isn't a character I like or dislike. He isn't an interesting character all that much because all you every really see is him wanting to screw women. He seems like a nice guy but there's not much of him to like or not like. Fujimara has the same problem. I don't know whether to like her or not. She hardly has any emotions and only cares about her research. She would do anything to get her research going even letting her nephew touch and suck on her breast.
I hope with the chapters that haven't come out yet help give these characters more dimension.    

Overall this manga isn't all that bad. The art style is in the middle and the story line is one I don't see all that much now. One thing I really hate is every chapter except the first and the second are only 9 pages. 9 pages isn't a very good idea in my opinion because you make scenes more long than they have to and are cut off in the good part. At times I have to wait months for a chapter to come out and it annoys me. If you make the chapters so short bring out at least 2 chapters to make people happy. Minamoto-Kun Monogatari gets a 5.5 out of 10. The story is good but the characters are forgettable and you have to wait months for an update and all you get is 9 pages -_-.

Heroes of cosplay

Heroes of cosplay is a reality show that airs on the syfy channel starting on Tuesday the 13th. It shows the lives of cosplayers (Yaya Han, Victoria Schmidt, Becky Young, Jessica Merizan, Holly Conrad, and Jesse Lagers) getting their costumes ready for a competition. When seeing the trailer to this I wasn't all that interested in it at all. I actually wasn't planning to watch it but I had nothing to do once Face off ended and left it on and watched it. In the first couple of minutes I was already annoyed by most of the cosplayers they showed. Most of the time they just complained and whined the whole time when their costume wasn't done and even after it was done they still complained. At one point in the show I really wanted to punch all the girls in the face and tell them to shut up. The two that annoyed me the most where Jessica and Holly. Even if I wasn't interested in this show I thought the show was going to be about them just working on their costume and giving the viewers tips but I was way off. The show focuses more on their social life than them making their own costume. You see them working on it here and there but most of the time you see them out having fun.

Jesse Lagers is the only cosplayer I'm liking so far in the show but they hardly show him. I feel they don't show him a lot because he doesn't complain all that much. Knowing it's a reality show I bet they complain to get views and some drama could be made up. If they cut off the whole drama I would actually like this show. Every reality show doesn't need to have drama in it. Just because it has drama doesn't make the show worth watching or any good. I may not be the only person that hates this show because of the way they act but if they show more on how they create their costumes and show the fun in it then it would be more interesting and more people would want to watch it. I wish they had more guy cosplayers than just one. There's many guy cosplayers that are famous too but I know girls are more known but that shouldn't be the reason why they can't have more than one guy.

Heroes of cosplay isn't what I thought it was. It's just like any other reality show filled with drama and annoying people. This didn't show the fun in cosplay at all. It showed people putting themselves under pressure, caring only about themselves, and how spoiled they are. Would I watch Heroes of cosplay again? Yeah if there isn't anything better on. But these cosplayers except Jesse showed me don't wait a week before the competition to start on you're costume. It'll just end up bad or you won't even finish.

Go out and have fun cosplaying don't stress yourself out thinking you're not good enough. Do it because you want to at the end you could only make yourself happy :).

Ore ga akuma de, aitsu ga yome de review

Ore ga akuma de, aitsu ga yome de (I'm the devil, she's my wife) by Aruma rumi tells a story of a little orphan girl name Uika who just wishes to have a family. Anzamnia (Anzam for short) is a fallen angel who has yet made a contract with any humans unlike the other demons. Focusing only on getting famous people the guard keeper throws him into Japan were he falls when Uika prays that one day someone will take her away from the orphanage. Anzam forms a contract with her and asked what her wish is she beg him to marry her. Now married Anzam has to deal with the pain of being married.


Ore ga akuma de, aitsu ga yome de is a very cute and sweet little story of a marriage with one party was happy to be marriage while the other party isn't. Uika isn't my favorite character but she's so cute I just wanna hug her. She at times reminds me of myself and how I am in my relationship. She's very innocent and cares for others more than herself. Her feelings may get hurt when she finds out Anzam likes girls with big chest but she doesn't make a big deal about it. Anzam is my favorite character he wants to be the best but always ends up failing. He also reminds me of my boyfriend some times. He may treat Uika bad at times but he really does love and cares for her. Bring back the girls with big chest thing yes Uika was depress and didn't do much like cook for them but Anzam ended up cheering her up. He may use the whole I'll divorce you card but he would never actually do it. He's a very kind and sweet guy who wants people to appreciate him and accept him the way he is. The secondary characters add more to the story and make the main characters more interesting. I love all the character except the guard keeper she's a big meanie but these characters make me love this manga more than I could have.

Ore ga akuma de, aitsu ga yome de (I'm the devil, she's my wife) gets a 9.5 out of 10. I love this story but I felt it ended too soon. The ending was cute but I wish there was more. Hopefully the author makes a extra chapter on how their lives ended up when she got older. It would bring a even sweeter ending to this cute story. If your a very big shojo fan you have to read this manga it's a must read.

Perfect Girl Evolution

Perfect girl evolution by Tomoko Hayakawa tells a story about a girl name Sunako who tells her crush, her feelings for him but gets rejected and is called ugly. From that day on Sunako gave up on beauty. Her aunt feeling worried for her has four beautiful boys (Kyohei, Takenaga, Yukinojo aka Yuki, Ranmaru) live with Sunako in her mansion. If the four boys transforms Sunako into a perfect lady they will then get free rent. Focus on getting free rent they will do anything to transform Sunako even if she doesn't want to be change. They now start a long and hard journey trying to transform a girl who won't change even if life depended on it.

I loved this manga since it started it has made me laugh and cheered me up when I was feeling down. One word describes Sunako and that word is badass! She is my favorite character and by far one of the only female characters I could stand and like. Sunako is the type of person I want to be. She's strong and straight forward and could kick some ass. She's obsessed with darkness, horror movies, blood, and anything dark. I love how she calls beautiful things "creatures of light" and gets nosebleeds when ever she sees one. Kyohei is hard headed, very popular and cool. He could fight and only cares to get free rent or the lowest amount required. Even if he says that's the only thing he cares for you could see he does care for Sunako. Takenaga is the smartest out of the group. He's caring, shy, and the only one who doesn't run away much from Sunako's morbid habits. Takenaga came from a wealthy family of flower masters. He was sent to the mansion to become a little more "normal" because of the pressure of becoming the heir he started to ignored everyone. Yuki  is gently and is the most afraid of Sunako when they first met. He's cute, very shy and the one who has to dress up as a girl whenever they need it. When it comes down to my favorite of the guys Yuki is my second favorite. I could see him as a little kid who gets easily scared of things that look scary. I always end up saying "aww" whenever he does something I find cute. Last but not least Ranmaru, Ranmaru is my least favorite but it isn't because he's a playboy. Ranmaur's personality is like those guys who think their so beautiful and whenever a "ugly" girl is around they break out or try to get away from them as soon as possible. He came from a wealthy family and as Takenaga he's parents sent him there to become more "normal".  

All the characters bring something to the story unlike other mangas where you could take away a character and nothing will change. In this manga you have the character who doesn't give a crap even if that's not true, the playboy, the cute one, the smart one, and the one who doesn't want to change. All their personalities are balance and not one character is more out shine than the others. Perfect girl evolution gets a 10 out of 10. I like all  the characters even if their personalities aren't the greatest. They still in some way make me like them. The art work isn't the best but the story is what sales this manga not the art. The art could be overlooked by the story being told. Anyone could read this and get a kick out of it.

Ao Haru Ride: Youth Ride

Nadeshiko-chan here and I’ll be reviewing Ao Haru Ride by Sakisaka Io on this fine winter day. The ongoing series begins with the heroine, Yoshioka Futaba, in middle school; she’s a timid, cute, and feminine girl who dislikes boys, since she finds them loud and obnoxious. Her only exception Tanaka Kou, a gentle and rather quiet boy, that also has feelings for her. They decide to go to the festival together, but because of a series of misunderstand and mishaps, he stands her up. She wants to confront him, work things out, but when she goes to school she finds out his transferred and she left without closure. Then she begins gaining the attention of other boys because of her cute, girly attitude, causing her female “friends” to ostracize her.

The story then skips to her in high school, working to reset her image: She's become a tomboy and makes her large appetite known in order to keep boys away. She has very shallow relationships with her new “friends” that only like her because even though she’s cute, she’s too boyish to pose a threat to them. Towards the end of her 1^st year, she reunites with Tanaka, but he isn't the same; first of all he goes under the name of Mabuchi Kou now and his masculine, sarcastic. He tells her that he felt the same way as she did when they were younger, but that they can’t go back and she agrees, just happy to have closure. Her feelings for the past him are done, but she soon starts developing feelings for the present him, for Mabuchi Kou. Also, after she meets him, she befriends Yuuri Makita, who’s ostracized by the girls because she’s cute and popular among boys, like Futaba was in middle school. Though their friendship takes some time to develop, they soon become true friends that care about each other. Around that time, they become a trio with Shuuko Murao, the cool “lone wolf” of their class. Though its hard to tell whether she likes them at all at first, it soon becomes apparent that she cares about them and she steadily opens up to them.  Anyway, as Futaba stops worrying about what others think, her feelings for Kou grow and her concern for him leads her to helping him deal with his family issues. After which, he also begins to fall for her once again, the only problem is he isn't very honest with his feelings and someone from his past keeps distracting him. I’ll end it at that, I don’t want to spoil too much.

Now the characters: I originally didn't like Futaba as a heroine, trying to change herself just to make “friends”, but then I realized that it must have been traumatic for her after being abandoned by all those who she thought were her friends. And after awhile I realized she was rather honest, always doing her best and putting in all her power when she’s determined about something. She’s got a lot of spunk and is working on another one of her major character faults: avoiding a problem instead of facing it head on. As you read you might notice this bad habit of hers and see moments where she’s able to over come it. Then there’s the male lead Kou, dishonest and distant Kou, keeping himself away from the rest of group. Originally Futaba simply reminded him of his happier days before his family turmoil, but he starts to developing feelings for the present Futaba as well. These feelings become more apparent after she helps him deal with some his family issues, but he doesn’t feel it’s the appropriate time to act on his feelings. Overall he is very kind and looks out for her, he simply can’t be honest with his feelings. But the series is ongoing, so things might change.

Oresama Teacher Review

Hello everyone! This is Seshiria-sempai clocking in ^_^
So today I will be talking about Oresama Teacher, one of my top mangas!
 Um, so this manga is about Kurosaki Mafuyu who is a former banchou who was caught by police and transferred to Midori Ga Oka Academy, a high school where she lives in an apartment alone. When she gets there Mafuyu tries to be girly since she has always been the manly tough girl before and she really wants to change and have a normal last couple of years in school. The story goes onto her experience at school with friends- and enemies- that she makes and of course the mysterious relationship with the teacher Saeki who she can't remember that much but she knows him from back in the day! So, she doesn't get her wish and she gets sucked in along with some other kids to help Saeki with a mission. Its a fun read and I like that Mafuyu is a strong female and that her experiences don't grate on my nerves. To make it better (for me) there is still that love(?) thing that with Saeki that is brought up just enough to keep my lovey dovey self from getting mush deprived and little enough that the story isn't a shoujo but more an actiony teen manga. Hope you guys were interested!

Pandora Hearts by Jun Mochizuki

Oz Vessaliu

On this fine November day I'm going to be reviewing one of my favorite shounen manga/animes: Pandora Hearts. I loved the anime and immediately started reading the manga, which is currently ongoing. Anyway, let’s start with the general plot:

The series begins with the day of 15-year old Oz Vessaliu’s coming-of-age ceremony. He spends most of the day running around with his younger sister Ada and his faithful servant Gilbert before finally preparing himself for the party. But the ceremony is interrupted by group known as the Baskervilles and their Chains (creatures who were humans at some point but were transformed by the Abyss) they’ve made contracts with. As the guest runaway, they condemn him for the sin he knows nothing about. When he attempts to ask, they tell him “your sin, is you very existence!” before throwing him into the Abyss, his eternal prison. There, while running away from Chains and looking for an exit, he meets Alice, the notorious B-Rabbit. She tells him that she isn’t like the other chains; she woke up in the Abyss knowing she was once human and her name is Alice. She explains that she wants to search for her lost memories and knows of a way for both of them to get out: Oz must make a contract with her, unleashing her sealed powers and allowing her to break out of there. Though Oz is hesitant, he eventually decides to trust her and they make a contract. Oz and Alice wake up in the house of Break and Sharon Rainsworth and their partner Raven Nightwing. All 3 of them are part of strange organization known as Pandora, whose only goal is to better understand the Abyss and the Will of the Abyss that controls it.  They explain to Oz that coming out of the Abyss is complicated and it’s rare to come back to the same time in which you entered. Basically, 10 years have passed since the coming-of-age ceremony. Oz sets out to help Alice find her memories and understand the sin he was condemned of, unraveling a complex mystery centered around the Tragedy of Sablier.

There are lots of questions and confusion in the beginning, but the author does a great job of slowly giving you the answers, having you piece the puzzle together before he shows you the remaining pieces to complete it.

Alice in the Abyss

The characters and their relationships are also quite interesting. Oz having a very friendly, adventurous, and happy-go-lucky attitude most of time, but being sneaky and manupliative when he needs to be. He protects the people he loves and doesn’t want to burden them. Then there’s our heroine Alice who is blunt, pugnacious, and somewhat of a glutton. But as Oz says “she’s kind-hearted and easily cries”. Alice in the beginning is often insecure because she can’t remember any of her memories as a human, but as time goes on she doesn’t seem to mind as much, accepting that she doesn’t remember, but is happy being with Oz and their friends. In case you can’t tell, Oz and Alice have a very good relationship, both caring about each other and wanting to protect the other. Though it hasn’t be said, its implied they like each other, heavily on Alice’s part whose upset whenever Oz neglects her or spends time with other girls, even upset when he spends time with his sister Ada. Anyway, the third main character is Gilbert(Raven) Nightray, Oz’s faithful servant  and  best friend (Technically this is a spoiler, but if you would’ve figured it out as soon as you saw him). He’s the most serious of the trio, though childishly fights with Alice over trivial matters (He’s also adorably afraid of cats). Him and Oz have known each other for years and have a heartwarming friendship, both of the caring deeply for the other. Gilbert’s past is also shrouded in secrets, being connected to Alice’s lost memories…

Gilbert Nightray

Now for the art: it’s absolutely beautiful! Its one of my favorite manga art, being so elegant, especially the clothing! The art starts out a bit rough in the beginning, but Jun Mochizuki gets better and better as the story goes. Mochizuki-sama can really show fear, sadness, and happiness and he’s fighting scenes are rather easy to follow, something I’ve always had trouble with when reading manga. Overall, I think it’s a great anime and manga. The anime follows the manga, but ends around volume 8 before wrapping up. It doesn’t make up its own ending or answer all the questions, but it’s a pretty nice ending. If you want answers, read the amazing manga and watch the mystery slowly unveil.

Mars by Souryo Fuyumi Review

Its Nadeshiko-chan <3 Been a while since I've posted huh? But I'm back! And with another amazing shoujo manga!

Mars follows the story of Kira and Rei, two teens who seem to be from different worlds; the artistic, shy, and quiet Kira is ostracized from the rest of her class while Rei is the center of attention as the school’s popular and lovable bad boy. But they are strangely drawn to each other, even though they don’t accept the fact right away. As the story continues, it is revealed they’re both dealing with major psychological traumas. Kira with her father dying in a car accident and her fear of men, rooted from the years she spent with a sexually abusive stepfather. Then there’s Rei with his complex childhood and the blame he puts on himself for his twin brother’s mysterious suicide. On top of that, there’s his love of racing motorcycles, which constantly worries Kira. Both characters are complex, realistic, and live in the gray zone of society, but they look at each others wounds and accept each other, doing what every they can to comfort and heal the other. The plot is captivating, the art makes it even better; I just love classic 1990s manga art, its simple charming. Souryo Fuyumi really knows how to express emotions like pain, fear, love, and happiness. You can truly understand what Kira and Rei are feeling and the pain they've experienced through her art. I highly recommend this 1990s classic, its story and characters both unique and in no way a cutesy little shoujo manga, not by long shot with its dark pasts, violence, suicides, and psychopaths

Idol pretender

Chinami's girl form

Idol pretender is an ecchi manga by Harnse Hiroki. I always have a fun time reading this manga. It starts out with our main character Eita Chinami aiming to be a man among men to impress the girl he's in love with(Yuika). Feeling sick his roommate Oguri tells him to go drink medicine and go to sleep. Getting a bottle that he thought was the right medicine he drinks it and wakes up as a girl. Not knowing whats going on his roommate tells him the only way he could change back to normal is to buy the very expensive medicine again. The fastest way to do so, is to become an idol. Idol pretender is a really goofy and fun manga to read. Seeing how Chinami reacts when he realizes that he's becoming more of a girl each day. Makes me feel bad for the guy but I can't help but laugh at it. Chinami is a very caring and sweet guy even if he wants to be the man among men. He is a character who aims at something and doesn't change his mind even if people or objects get in his way. But Chinami himself is the one who is truly standing in front of his own goal. Chinami's other big problem is Yuika the girl he's in love with. Yuika herself is an idol, who has fallen in love with Chinami as a girl. She questions herself in a couple of chapter but aims to make Chinami fall in love with her. Now Chinami has another thing to worried about. Idol pretender gets a 10/10 I love this story even if it maybe cheesy or stupid the characters are what make me love this manga.

Usotsuki parabox

Usotsuki paradox is an 18+ manga by Satou Nanki. The story starts out with a young man by the name of Youkadou who's in love with his coworker Seiyuu. Seiyuu is in a long distance relationship but agrees to become friends with benefits with Youkadou under one condition they can never have sex. Coming into this manga I thought she would forget about the whole condition and just go have sex with him in the first couple of chapters but I was wrong. Reading this manga you could see how much the main character is in love but at the same time it seems all he wants is sex. Seiyuu seems like the nice caring girl but at the same time she's using Youkadou for her own selfish deeds. Seeing how the characters are falling more for each other makes it sad because we already know they could never truly be together. At the end you just want Youkadou to find someone else who could stay and love him as well as Seiyuu staying with her boyfriend. Seiyuu is just a chick I want to go up to a slap for being an idiot for agreeing to something that will cause emotional problems for both characters, but at times I want to slap Youkadou as well. What I love about this manga is that it's something that could happen in real life unlike other romance stories were at the end they magically end up together. I'm giving Usotsuki paradox an 6/10 feeling annoyed at times wanting Seiyuu to just leave her boyfriend and go with Youkadou. But also understanding what their going through and relating to their problems. Usotsuki paradox has an okay art style but it's a manga you could relate to if you ever loved someone and knew they could never be yours.

Hello anime lovers :D I'm undeadwolfgirl. I was a fan of anime since I was small. Anime grew more and more as I started to read mangas. I love all types of anime/mangas may it be action, drama, romance, etc I would read them all. The manga I would like to introduce to you all manga lovers is velvet kiss. Velvet kiss is an 18+ manga filled with twists and turns making you want more and more. The story starts off with our main character Nitta Shin feeling lucky until he finds himself saddled with a sudden, crushing debt. His loan agent tells him he can repay all the debt by keeping a woman company. He agrees to this agreement but finds it more difficult than he thought it would be. Velvet kiss was a manga I came across and thought it was going to be a pointless manga with just a lot of sex in it but I was wrong. It may have a lot of sex but there is a story going on in this manga which is what I love about it. Once reading it you just want more and more. Waiting for chapters was something I had trouble with. Sadly this story came to a end but the ending was an okay ending. I would have love to see my thought of Nitta and Kano(woman he has to keep company) come true but sadly it didn't. Nitta and Kano are two very a like characters but at the same time could be the complete opposite of each other. They are the only ones who could make each other reach higher and higher. I would rate this manga a 8/10 and I want you all that are 18+ to read this manga. Its an interesting manga that makes you think at times but yet didn't answer some questions that were brought up in the story but overall this is a manga that should be read. Hello there. I'm Seshiria-sempai, president (or dictator :D) of this posse of manga fans and the founder of the club. So, I love me some good dramas, anime, and manga. I mostly read shoujo and my favorites are skip beat, the devil does exist, and dengeki daisy. I'm extremely fond of one shots and short mangas but I can appreciate the very long ones as well. My favorite dramas are devil beside you, extravagant challenge, and coffee prince. Another big thing with me is Lolita fashion. I absolutely love it! I'm a fan of Victorian age dresses so the Lolita fashion is great for me. So I guess I'll start this thing off on a positive note and write about a manga I liked. Beast Master is a good manga and I give it a 10. The art is great, which is huge with me because I tend to drop mangas that have sucky art. Motomi is one of few mangakas who can actually draw a guy looking like a guy unlike most shoujo mangakas who give the boys big everythings (hands,eyes) and triangle faces that look weird >.< The story is cute and the heroine is not annoying and overtly girly (gag) and I love that about her. All in all, I recommend this manga to any one, especially beginning readers since its a short series but maintains the shoujo elements nicely and is a good read.

Nadeshiko-chan, vice president of our little club, and I love Japanese culture! And can you blame me? It's the country with a rich history and culture; samurais, elegant dancing( like kabuki), geisha, and beautiful art. Then it also has anime and manga too! It's courageous, brave, elegant, and cute at the same time! I love it so much! Anyway, I’ve read/watched a range of shounen and shoujo manga/anime Card Captor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicles, Pandora Hearts, Maid-sama, Naruto, Fruits Basket, Kekkashi, InuYasha, Arisa, Mint na Bokura, Alice in the Country of Hearts, and Cat Street to name a couple. Today, I’m going to talk about the shoujo manga Mademoiselle Butterfly, a tale about a young girl name Butterfly, geisha who loves and admires her childhood friend Chinatsu. The manga follows the life of Butterfly as she tries to get Chinatsu to see her as a lover, not simple as a child( Since there’s an age difference of about 3 years or so).The majority of the manga takes place during the World War II era, though there are a few post-war chapters. It’s also a rather realistic manga and a very sweet story and really demosrtates how much the couple cares and loves each other. It’s also one of the few mangas that have actually made me cry, feeling the pain and desperation that the characters feel. It’s a really great manga with loveable characters, a good storyline, and nice art. I highly recommend it. -Nadeshiko-chan :3
